A Ghost Of A Story With Mary (Free House Haunting Weekend)

maxresdefault (1)

I am so excited today, because I have the privilege of hosting a very special guest on L.J. Writes: the multi-talented, Mary . Mary is the author of two novels (so far), she also heard “who can write a paper for me” thousand of times, including her latest, House Haunting (The Real Estate Paranormal Mystery Series), which just so happens to be free on Amazon June 16th & 17th! So mark your calendars this weekend and don’t miss out!

Here’s what it’s all about:

Rosemary Fernandes is a naïve, divorced woman determined to make it in the tough world of real estate. Keith Laumer is a successful agent, the perfect person to teach Rosemary the ins and outs of the business. Too bad he’s dead. Is it too late for a jaded ghost to learn what really matters in life? And can Rosemary prove who killed Keith before the killer finds her? If you like

Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum, you’ll find a kindred spirit in Rosemary Fernandes.

So without further ado, I’m going to take a step back from the virtual mic and let Mary tell you all about how this intriguing new series came to be.

Take it away, Mary! (I’ve always wanted to do that ;))

~~~
That is such a great story! I’m sure we can all relate to how a story sticks with you until you set it free. Am I right everyone?
I want to thank Mary for honoring me the opportunity of having her here and sharing her story with all of us. Don’t forget to visit Amazon this weekend for your free copy of House Haunting (The Real Estate Paranormal Mystery Series)! I know I’ll be there! Make sure to spread the word on this great deal!
Here’s a bit more about Mary and where you can find her hanging out:
Mary has lived in Ceres, CA for the last 23 years. She is married with two grown sons who are the light of her life, and lives with her husband, the love of her life, three cats and two dogs. A short career in real estate inspired her Real Estate Paranormal Mystery Series, and now she is an avid writer, reader, gardener and a semi-retired soccer player. With the help of her husband and son, she has started a company based on her love of succulents called LivingCreations.
Six Sentence Sunday: He’s Back!
Six Sentence Header
First off, I want to wish all you dads out there a Happy Father’s Day! I hope you get to lay back and let the kids serve you for once 🙂 To my Dad, Happy Father’s Day! I wish I could be there with you to celebrate it!
Well, Father’s Day is always on Sunday, but did you know what else is? Six Sentence Sunday! If you don’t know already, SSS is a weekly tour of sorts where more than 100 writers/authors post six sentences from any WIP or previous work they’ve masterfully created. Pop over to the official SSS site to be taken to any or all of these fabulous artists’ SSS post links.
This week is another excerpt from Seeker Of Fate, Book #2 in the Fate Series. I’ve skipped over a few scenes from last week’s bit (click HERE for a refresher), to bring Cassie to a shocking discovery that will rock her world.
     Hunter turned suddenly, and stalked over until he was towering over me, no longer the tortured man that I’d seen chained to those pillars. No, he looked powerful, strong, maybe even more so than before he was held captive, but his light touch under my chin was contradictory to his presence in front of me, and I could do nothing but comply to the slight pressure pulling my face up towards his. His dark hair hung near his eyes, but they couldn’t block his intense gaze. I fell into the blue depths, leaving me once again lost in them.
     “Hello Cassandra,” he said in his husky voice. “Miss me?”
I hope you enjoyed a glimpse of SOF this week! Have a great Sunday and don’t forget to check out all of the other talented writers of SSS!
Six Sentence Sunday: Fess Up!
Six Sentence Header
I can’t believe its Sunday already! Time sure does seem to fly nowadays. But whatever you do, don’t let Six Sentence Sunday pass you by! If you don’t know already, SSS is a weekly tour of sorts where more than 100 writers/authors post six sentences from any WIP or previous work they’ve masterfully created. Pop over to the official SSS site to be taken to any or all of these fabulous artists’ SSS post links.
This week I’m continuing from last week’s excerpt from Seeker Of Fate, Book #2 in the Fate Series (If you missed it, click HERE). I skipped over a little of Cassie’s shock over seeing Hunter out of his prison to get to the meat of it. Hunter’s not having any of her explanations about what she’s been up to while he’s been gone anyway. Let’s see what he has to say.
~~~
     His finger came over my lips to silence me. “So, tell me, my beautiful little demon, how does it feel? Did you enjoy seducing Caleb to get what you wanted, or were you so enraptured by the green of his eyes that you longed for his tongue in your mouth and his hands on your body?” I gasped from his callous words, but he went on before I could respond. “Truthfully, I’d prefer the former, because it would mean that since he’s bailed on the deal, the only one left to help you would be me. But I have to warn you, it’s going to take a whole lot of seduction to get me to help you now.”
~~~
I hope you enjoyed another glimpse of SOF. It’s still in the works, but I’m hoping to have it out yet this year.
Have a great Sunday, and don’t forget to check out all the other great Sixers of SSS!
What’s Your Take Wednesday
bigstock-Coconut-Smash-Party-11685893
A picture is worth a thousand words. Well, maybe not that many and maybe so many more, guess it depends on the eye of the beholder. Have I reached my cliche limit yet? Since every one of us looks at the world a bit differently, I thought it’d be fun to see how many different “takes” I could get from 1 simple picture.
Here’s what I’m proposing: I’ll post a new fascinating, thought-provoking pic every Wednesday and you describe the first scene/idea/thought that it sparks in that brilliantly creative mind of yours. It could be anything, or anyone for that matter. The sky is the limit. Okay, now I’m done with the cliches, I promise!
Let’s get this party started!
Here’s my take:
“These guys really are nuts!” onlookers thought as they watched the latest antics of the Annual Anger Management Retreat participants.
Ba Dum Bum!
So…What’s Your Take?
